From 8-5 to Freelance Work.
I work 8-5, Monday to Saturday; a Single Mother 24-7 at that and that’s tough! For the past few years, I have been in the corporate industry. Enslaving myself with a minimum salary to keep up with the bills that comes with life. During those years I also sold clothes and food for additional income.
I don’t get to spend a lot of time with my children and I don’t get to spend time for myself. I have been dreaming of a day where I have the option to say no and where I am in control of my time.
Working at home is the best option for me and all I need is a single opportunity. A client that will believe in the 10 years experience that I have with Marketing & Sales. A client that is willing to invest in me. And so for anyone to take a risk and invest in me, I need to invest in my skills so I can successfully transition from my 8-5 Job to work at home. I found the Filipino Virtual Assistant facebook page and it seems a great place to start my freelance journey. They offer services that will help me develop my skills and improve my quality characteristics.
Just like what Terry Good kind said; “Knowledge is a weapon. I intend to be formidably armed.”
